Candidates that qualify as an Accountant I, II & III  with a CPA exploding company in need of URGENT candidates due to growth. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountant I

  • Maintain accounting operations for accounts payable and receivable activity, transfers of costs, collections and adjustments.
  • Identify and analyze problems that may occur in the processing of recording transactions.
  • Collect and analyze data by applying accounting policies and procedures to record routine transactions.
  • Review transactions posted by Accounting Clerks and recommend changes necessary to ensure proper accounting and reporting of funds.
  • Assist and/or prepare routine and/or special reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis on a national level.
  • Monitor appropriations and analyze financial transactions to ensure data is correct and compliant with regulations.
  • Reconcile general ledgers.
  • As the level of Accountant increases, provide written explanation to auditors, managements, program managers, and others who review the statements concerning the complex data contained in the reports.
  • Accountant II & III

  • Same as outlined in Accountant I plus at least one of the following:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports on a national level which are submitted to the DOT, OMB, and OFM.
  • Prepares auditable financial statements based on the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and guidance received from Treasury, OMB, and OFM.
  • Interpret regulations and/or adapt regulations to meet reporting requirements and various system limitations
