Parker+Lynch is conducting a high-level, direct hire search for an Accounting Manager on the Tempe/Phoenix border. As an Accounting Manager, you’ll report to the Director of Accounting and Finance and lead a team of 4-5 accounting employees. Your main responsibilities will include accounts payable/receivable review, in-depth reconciliations, month-end close, as well as day to day leadership and training functions. The beginning salary is between $95,000-105,000 plus bonus.

Key Job Functions:

  • Oversee the daily general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and intercompany functions
  • Manage month-close processes, including journal entry postings, reconciliations and reporting
  • Book fixed assets, maintain depreciation and complete deferral and accrual adjustments
  • Prepare revenue spreadsheets, create cash balance reports and determine intercompany transfers
  • Perform in-depth research to resolve discrepancies and complete Ad Hoc projects as assigned
  • Spearhead software implementation initiatives, streamline processes and improve policies and procedures manual

Job Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1+ years in a supervisory/management role
  • Proficient Excel skills; Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP software skills strongly desired
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent leadership and development, process improvement and software implementation skills
