Parker + Lynch is seeking an Accounting Manager for a profitable and stable client to oversee all accounting and finance activities of the organization including oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, fixed assets, month-end close and reporting, planning and budgeting.  

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise the daily work of accounting staff, including planning and assigning workloads.
  • Lead and facilitate an accurate, complete and timely month-end close process and year-end procedures in line with generally accepted accounting principles and company practice.
  • Assess, recommend and implement accounting controls appropriate for the organization and specific activity.
  • Coordinate with staff and department heads to manage the annual budget process.
  • Oversee and regularly review payables for accuracy, appropriate coding and timely processing.
  • Oversee and regularly review receivables for aging, collection issues and customer account management.
  • Oversee and help manage the payroll process and general ledger activities including coding consistency, maintenance of the chart of accounts, reporting templates, etc…
  • Collaborate actively with peers and staff on special projects as assigned.
  • Lead, develop and manage a small team of professionals
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting
  • 3 – 6 years of experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong general accounting knowledge including month-end, AP/AR, Payroll, financial statement preparation(understanding of the relationship between the 3 financials)
  • Cost accounting knowledge preferred
