Accounting Manager

Parker + Lynch is currently conducting an Accounting Manager search for a consumer services organization in Bensalem, PA. In this role you’ll be partnering directly with the Controller and asked to take lead on cash flow analysis, partnering with the external auditors, and overseeing the daily accounting operations. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department to ensure effective communication, collaboration with other areas of organization.
  • Drive the month-end process. Provide support, guidance, and feed-back to Business Unit Managers and Accounting staff to ensure that semi-monthly and month-end reports are submitted to the corporate office in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities including accruals, adjustments, depreciation, reconciliations, variance explanation and documentation.
  • Perform detailed review of monthly general ledger and financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
  • Monitor that the accounts payable and accounts receivable process at the business unit and corporate levels are on track throughout the month and that month-end deadlines are met.
  • Supervise, train, provide guidance, and mentor the Accounting staff as needed.
  • Review A/P invoices to ensure validity of invoices and adherence to internal procedures/protocols.
  • Monitor A/R billings at facility level and review A/R Aging/DSO Reports.
  • Monitor and enforce Credit Terms with the customer.
  • Cash flow management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • Cash flow analysis, US GAAP, and managerial experience
  • Ability to present financial findings to executive leadership
