Parker and Lynch is seeking an Accounting Manager with an extensive background in agriculture and livestock farming. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading all activities related to accounting, financial planning, and administrative duties. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support to meet quality standards and stated company goals. Essential Functions:

  • The Accounting Manager ensures all general ledger operations accurately reflect the business transactions in a timely manner.
  • Oversee and supervise both the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and personnel.
  • Posts depreciation journals and maintains the fixed assets inventory.
  • Prepares month-end inventory calculations and posts the journal entries.
  • Maintains and reconciles the partner accrual accounts.
  • Daily maintenance of the bank accounts and prepares the monthly reconciliation.
  • The Accounting Manager is responsible for the correct execution of the month end closing procedures and accurate reporting of financial information.
  • Responsible for development and management of all internal controls in the most efficient way for the day-to-day operations of the company.
  • Communicates with outside offices, vendors, banks and public administration to ensure all matters are resolved in a timely manner.
  • The Accounting Manager is responsible for providing documentation and reports to the external CPA for tax filing.
  • Facilitate external/internal audits: accounting, internal and tax related.
  • Leads department managers in preparation of department budgets.
  • Responsible for the integration  of all  budgets into the corporate budget.
  • Prepares monthly cost reports for all departments including analysis to budget.
  • Suggests, develops and implements new policies, procedures and tools that streamline and improve processes.
  • The Accounting Manager will make annual reviews of the accounting personnel  and make recommendations to the President.



Required Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:


  • Accounting and/or finance experience in Agriculture is required
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting is required, an MBA is a plus
  • A CPA certification is a plus
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices
  • Supervisory experience of accounting teams
  • Technology savvy with advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge and skills
