A Senior Accounting/Payroll Specialist job is available courtesy of Parker+Lynch. Our client is seeking a hands-on experienced payroll professional to manage the daily operations of their Payroll Department. Desired Qualifications:

  • BS accounting/finance
  • CPP
  • Seven plus years of related experience to include international and union payroll
  • Knowledge of ADP, and Navison
  • Strong knowledge of HR as it relates to payroll
  • Demonstrated understanding of garnishment and withholding compliance
  • Great communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good understanding of the general ledger
  • Demonstrated experience with payroll entries and reconciliations
  • Responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily operations of payroll dept
  • Handling payroll tax and filing of payroll related federal, state and local tax
  • Ensure HR and payroll compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Reconciling payroll in general ledger
  • Supporting year end audits
  • Overseeing system conversions
  • Identifying areas for improvement and processes
