Parker + Lynch is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee a team of five property accountants for a property management company in Minneapolis. This position will be responsible for all financial reporting and accounting functions to support company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of five property accountants and conduct their annual employee evaluations

  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed

  • Develop efficient procedures and continuously monitor to ensure high level of accuracy

  • Assist staff with non-routine reporting needs

  • Work with direct reports to establish goals and monitor progress

  • Complete cash management functions and initiate weekly ACH payments

  • Monitor cash balances

  • Ensure timely reporting of all financials and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting

  • Build strong working relationships with individuals outside the accounting department

  • Develop a strong understanding of all software systems and monitor and research future enhancements

  • Assist the Director of Accounting as needed

  • Qualifications

  • Proficient in RealPage and Microsoft Office

  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • Experience

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience

  • Project accounting, property management and internal audit experience preferred

  • Skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once

  • Strong supervisory, leadership and customer service skills

  • Team player with the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
