If you have a strong background in Accounts Payable, have helped mentor and review work from other AP processors, but never really had a management role or title….I have a great “next step” opportunity for you! A solid, manufacturing client of mine is looking to hire a new Accounts Payable Supervisor. This role will report directly to the Controller and is a newly created role to be a strong, hands-on person to oversee the daily AP activities. This department processes large volumes of payables for both the US and Canada. If this sounds exciting than let’s talk!
Job Functions
Oversee the AP department operations and activities
Large volume AP processing for US and Canada
Batching/coding
Sub-ledger reconciliations to the general ledger
Ensure/update accurate vendor data
Review checks and vouchers for appropriate signatures
Analyze expense reports for accuracy
Research, review and resolve any AP matters for accurate and timely processing
Prepare wire transfers
Assist AP processors with leadership, direction and evaluations to ensure a strong working department and staff
Assist Controller with various AP related projects and/or tasks as needed
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Accounting preferred - non-degreed individuals with appropriate AP experience will be considered
6+ years full-cycle AP processing experience - large volume processing required
Canadian AP experience a+
Some supervisory or work review in AP required
Larger ERP systems
Strong Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner
