The Assistant Controller will assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization related to long-term organizational goals, budgets and forecasts, financial reporting, internal controls, corporate compliance, general accounting and financial audit and analysis of results. Key Responsibilities:
Ensures accuracy of G/L by detailed analysis of monthly P & L and Balance Sheet
Proactively seek opportunities to improve planning and reporting processes
Strong analytical skills
Works with company auditors as needed for financial and retirement plan audits
Responsible for the safeguarding the assets of the company including cash, accounts receivable, inventory and fixed assets
Works with tax preparation firm; preparing financial forecasts, filing quarterly tax estimates and annual tax filings
Lead efforts to help define and evolve the financial and operational metrics of the company
Must be customer oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain company information in confidential manner
Must have ability to sustain relationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, both internally and externally
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; 7-10 years of related experience
CPA required
Strong knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office with advanced skills in Excel
Excellent people management skills and experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience
