Parker + Lynch is seeking to fill an Assistant Controller role for a reputable, leading manufacturer in Burlington, NC. The ideal candidate will have accounting and reporting experience in the manufacturing industry and previous supervisory experience. Public accounting or auditing experience is also desired.   • Supervise corporate Accounting functions (staff of 2-3)
  • Ensure integrity of accounting system
  • Ensure all cash receipts are applied to Accounts Receivable (A/R) correctly
  • Maintain and coordinate the Treasury function by monitoring and reporting on the Cash/Debt position for the business,
  • Serve as the primary Treasury contact for both internal and external requests such as positive-pay, manual checks or credit checks
  • Assist with month-end close processes and ensure timely and accurate reporting of the monthly financial statements
  • Review balance sheet account reconciliations prepared by the General Accountant
  • Assist with B/S or P&L variance analysis
  • Serve as the primary contact for the auditing firm
  • Support compliance with tax requirements
  • Skills and Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA strongly desired
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience plus prior supervisory experience
  • Public Accounting/Audit experience is a plus
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
