Parker+Lynch is hiring an Assistant Controller for a stable mid-sized construction company in Burbank, CA. 



The Assistant Controller will report to the Corporate Controller and lead all accounting and finance activity for a $50M business unit. This is a hands-on position with 4 direct reports in AR, AP and Payroll. 



  • Produce monthly financials and reports
  • Determine percentage completion adjustments for revenue and cost commitments for all projects
  • Prepare job cost statements and analyze jobs' profitability
  • Manage cash flow reporting
  • Review budgets
  • Ensure accurate preparation of invoices, lien releases and documentation


  • Experience - 5 to 8 years in accounting, including 3 as a supervisor
  • Education - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Leadership - member of leadership team developing business plan and driving business
  • Industry - construction experience doing job costing, Work in Progress (WIP) and percentage of completion revenue method
  • Software - Sage Timberline, Vista Viewpoint, JD Edwards, Excel
  • Soft Skills - present financials to upper leadership and communicate profitability of projects
