Company is seeking an HR Audit Consultant to review internal processes, procedures, and accounting practices for the Human Resources Department. In this role, the incumbent will work closely with all levels of a de-centralized Human Resources team to understand the current system, interpret data, and provide recommendations to ensure gaps are addressed from an HR accounting perspective. The incumbent will be familiar with all levels of corporate organizations, proactive in their thought processes, and intuitive when it comes to working with data.  

Job Duties

  • Conduct reviews and audits of specific HR business areas; including, payroll, benefits, 401K, pension and headcount.
  • Provide practical, innovative and value-added solutions to issues identified.
  • Analyze and assess risks and barriers to delivery, assumed by both the business and support functions.
  • Identify and evaluate the effectiveness of controls designed to address those risks.
  • Prepare reports of audit findings for senior management, monitor the results, and developments and provide input for planning sessions.
  • Perform related job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ yrs experience (ideally a mix of audit, accounting & HR)
  • Public accounting preferred, but not necessary if experience is strong in this area.
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field of study is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in audit, SOX compliance or internal risk management areas is required.
  • Human Resources auditing experience is highly preferred.
