Parker + Lynch has partnered with a leading accounting and advisory firm that has offices in New Jersey and New York City.  The firm is looking to add to their Audit Team, in both locations, on all levels ranging from Audit Staff, Audit Senior, and Audit Manager.  If you have prior experience within a Big 4 Accounting firm; and/or experience with Real Estate Accounting, this job may be a match for you.  Your responsibilities are outlined below in varying degrees based on Audit level.  You must be detailed oriented, analytical, proficient in Microsoft Excel, and can interact with clients directly.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform Audit and Assurance work as outlined by the audit plan in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles
  • Possess knowledge of Audit Planning and Risk Assessment.
  • Research accounting issues and treatment on sometimes complex transactions with recommendations
  • Develop working relationships with clients in all industries, one specifically being Real Estate
  • Manage assigned audit caseload in team structure
  • Maintain an understanding of latest accounting guidance and internal audit best practices


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Actively working towards obtaining your CPA license; current CPA license is preferred
  • 1-3+ years of recent work experience as an auditor for a public accounting firm
  • Real Estate experience preferred
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to juggle competing demands and priorities and manage time well (both self and others) even when time is short.

$55,000-$100,000 (Dependent on Level and Experience)
