This role focuses on the preparation and review of extensive payroll and tax reports for NJ and NY, including 1099’s, 1040’s and W-2’s. Our ideal candidate has small business accounting experience and will manage the data forms using Quickbooks and Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of payroll reports in NJ and NY
  • Prepare and review sales tax reports
  • Preparation of 1099’s and W-2’s
  • Prepare and review Forms 1040, 1120S and 1065 tax returns
  • Experienced in small business accounting
  • Participate in various networking, marketing & volunteering opportunities
  • Assist in special projects as needed
  •  

    Qualifications:

  • B.A/B.S degree in Accounting with 3 to 5 years prior public accounting experience
  • Small business tax accounting background preferred
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other tax software programs such as Lacerte, a plus
  •  

    Skills:

  • Advanced in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Possesses strong entrepreneurial skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
  • Independently solves problems timely under changing demands
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  •  

    Experience:

  • B.A/B.S degree in Accounting with 3 to 5 years prior public accounting experience
  • Small business tax and accounting background
  •  

    Employment Type:

  • Full time, Direct to Hire

    Compensation:

  • Commensurate with experience. Our client also offers competitive salary, benefits, summer hours and incentive programs
  • Work Hours:

  • Option to work from home
  • Flexible work schedules – 10am to 4pm
  • Saturdays 8am to 3pm, option to work from home
  • 54 hours per week January through February
  • 59 hours per week February through April
