Parker+Lynch has partnered with an Arizona-based company whose headquarters is located in Tempe! We are assisting this company with a direct hire search for a CFO- one that will support the entire accounting and finance functions for the organization, which includes leading a small team of accounting employees. You are the right candidate for this opportunity if you have your bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, along with 7 years of related experience. You must have retail accounting experience to be considered.

Beginning compensation is between $120-130k, in addition to benefits and a 401k match.

Primary Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Audit and approve accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Conduct high-level, complex general ledger and bank account reconciliations
  • Prepare and maintain budgeting and forecasting reports and tools to evaluate performance
  • Review and post journal entries and month end accruals and prepare quarterly tax filings
  • Manage inventory functions, book fixed assets and maintain depreciation schedules
  • Prepare for annual audit processes and oversee capital investment initiatives
  • Lead, train and develop accounting employees and assist with Ad Hoc projects
  • Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of controllership or CFO experience in the retail space
  • Proficiency in Excel; Great Plains software experience is a plus
  • Advanced financial reporting, monthly close, AP/AR oversight, tax and inventory skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, verbal and written
