Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will play a key role in providing financial insight that will drive decisions within the organization. The Controller will work with all levels of personnel within the firm --- from entry-level team members to senior managers. He/she will need to learn and understand the company’s services and products and will need to build strong partnerships with members of departments such as Accounting, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Sales Analysis and Reporting. The responsibilities for this position include:


Managing the monthly accounting close process --- ensuring all accounts are properly stated and that results reflect business transactions accurately

Manages all accounting operations including Billing, AP, AR, General Ledger, Inventory, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition

Providing accurate and timely reporting across all business segments

Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysis

Coordinates process and prepares annual budget and monthly financial forecasts

Reviewing/improving accrual and reserve accuracy

Identifying internal control weaknesses and implementing corrective action in relation to GAAP and Sarbannes Oxley requirements

Anticipating business opportunities and providing answers & insight to key questions before they are asked

Special projects including condensing the month end process, enhancing expense control, automating new direct expense data interfaces & discontinuing allocations, developing automated reporting, improving variance analysis quality, and implementing subledger account ownership

6 or more years of accounting experience, preferably in progressively more senior positions with management level responsibility


Mixture of public and private accounting experience a plus; experience in medium to large firms desirable
