Description:
A Controller position in Washington, DC is available courtesy of Parker + Lynch. This individual will be responsible for all financial transactions and will support the organization’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of real estate accounting experience along with being self-motivated, conscientious and detail-oriented. The position offers a competitive salary range of 120K-140K.
 
CONTROLLER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting function and supervise a small team
  • Maintain a positive relationship with members, vendors, and internal customers
  • Process semi-monthly payroll and record payroll transactions
  • Prepare and organize timely financial statements for record and review
  • Analyze data and make recommendations for efficiency and cost savings measures
  • Accurately forecast, analyze and report revenue, expenses, and cash flow
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in a non-profit or similar industry
  • In-depth experience and familiarity with not-for-profit GAAP and accounting practices
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills - both written and oral
