Parker + Lynch is exclusively looking for a Controller for a client base in Albuquerque, NM! You will be responsible for overseeing a small team of accountants performing all accounting functions within the company, reporting directly to the COO. Our client is in the manufacturing industry.  An ideal candidate would have manufacturing, construction or an industry that is heavily focused in cost accounting.  This position is open because of a promotion, you will have the opportunity to cross train with the person. Your direct supervisor is hands off and has had an impressive 23-year career with the company.

Annual Starting Salary up to 125K, commensurate with experience, strong benefit and annual bonus offered.

This position is working in the office daily.  Our client does not require a vaccine.

Responsibilities:

· Managing a small accounting team

· Prepare internal and external financial reporting

· Overseeing all accounting functions

· Month end close process

· Working with outside auditors

· Analyze current procedures and reporting to recommend changes

· Develop and implement best practices

· Excellent communication skills and ability to build great working relationships

 

Education Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business 

· CPA preferred

 

Experience Requirements: 

· 15+ years of directly related accounting experience

· 5+ years management experience

· Advanced Microsoft Excel

· 5+ years of manufacturing, construction, or cost accounting industry knowledge

 

Pay Rate: $100-130k/year

Work Hours: 8am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. Office is empty at 5pm!
