PacketFabric is a next generation technology company redefining the telecommunications industry by combining software and hardware to provide Network-As-A-Serivce (NaaS).  The company is seeking an experienced Controller to define and contribute to its next phase of growth.  Qualified individuals will:  

  • Be fully responsible for all facets of the NetSuite accounting system, including implementation, entries consistent with accounting standards, and system evolution to support business growth.  Initially, the individual must have first-hand knowledge of using NetSuite upload templates for entries ranging from vendor bills and vendor payments to customer invoices and journal entries. Over time, the individual will be responsible for interfacing with database architects and administrators to optimize the information exchange between centralized databases and NetSuite.  
  • Identify, prioritize, and sequence accounting processes that transform the business from a start-up to generating audit compliant results that satisfy the company’s public accounting firm.  The individual will lead all discussion with the auditors and be responsible for interacting across the organization to institute audit-compliant practices.  
  • Assist in managing monthly financial close in a timely and accurate manner, including preparation of reconciliations of all revenue and expense accounts, fixed assets entries, prepaid and accrual entries as well as other general journal entries.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and controls, including documentation and technical memos .
  • Work with operations and engineering to institute tracking and reporting frameworks for fixed assets, equipment leases, and operating leases.  The requirement will rely heavily on the individual’s ability to incorporate the fixed asset module into NetSuite and gain cooperation across operating groups through information sharing.  
  • In addition to audit responsibility and interacting with the company’s public accounting firm, the individual will assist with a range of business tax requirements and interfacing with the company’s industry specific tax firm to achieve timely filings.  Tax requirements include property tax, sales and use tax, jurisdictional related telecom taxes, and transactional taxes
