Parker + Lynch is working on a new Controller role with a client in the west greater Grand Rapids area. This position will be the lead in the finance department and will be encouraged to think strategically to push the business forward and achieve their growth goals. This person will also be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, as well as preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and financial statements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger
  • Perform general ledger audit as needed
  • Report financial position Partners
  • Monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries
  • Identify problems and potential solutions
  • Oversee Accounts Payable staff
  • Managing financials for all locations and creating reports
  • Prepare and present budgets and reports
  • Prepare cashflow forecasts
  • Business planning for new locations
  • Assist with ad hoc


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance
  • 10+ of experience in business administration, accounting or a related field
  • Experience with Quickbooks & ADP a plus
  • High integrity and trustworthy
  • Self-starter
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Well organized and able to prioritize task
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strategic and forward thinking
