Parker + Lynch is seeking a Controller with 5 or more years of experience for an expanding commercial construction company serving the Orlando, FL region. This is a full-time position that will be required to manage the accounting team while serving the corporate level in all accounting functions. Do you have a strong understanding of commercial construction along with knowledge and experience in working at the corporate level overseeing the month end close, WIP Report, Job Costing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, preparing financial statement and WIP? Then you may be a successful candidate!


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all accounting operations and the accounting team
  • Understand and effectively communicate areas of financial risk
  • Be prepared to present reports predicting business activity as well as the financial positions
  • Manage operations in Accounts Payable - AP, Accounts Receivable - AR, Payroll and Account Reconciliation
  • Ensure the timely preparations of owner billings as stated within contractual terms
  • Review and prepare budgets
  • Ensure jobs abide by internal company procedures during processing
  • Minimize tax liabilities and support tax compliance within the company
  • Manage cash flow on a daily basis
  • Oversee WIP reporting process
  • Offer beneficial operational adjustments based on projects and the market


  • 5 or more years of accounting experience within the commercial construction industry
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required
  • High level of computer skills with experience using software, preferably Sage (Timberline), in project management / cost accounting.
  • Proof of knowledge of general ledger and financial reporting functions

  • Ability to create budgets and timelines
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Suite

    Work Hours:
