Corporate Accountant

Parker+Lynch is working with a well-established public company in Sarasota, FL that is seeking a talented Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing corporate-level accounting operations, financial reporting, compensation related accounting functions, and supporting the continued growth of the company. This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will also work closely with the Financial Reporting team. This is a diverse role with high exposure to leadership, and our client has a track record of promoting from within.

The ideal candidate for this role is a CPA with 3-5 years of public accounting experience.


The Corporate Accountant Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare and review assigned journal entries associated with the monthly close
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting package and complex balance sheet reconciliations
  • Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team on various projects expense recognition for employee benefit plans and share-based compensation
  • Maintain an efficient and appropriate control environment in accordance with SOX
  • Improve processes and accounting systems by working cross functionally to identify key areas for enhancement and automation


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA required
  • 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience (including public accounting experience)
