As a member of the Corporate Tax Team, will assist with the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns, assist with the preparation and review of U.S. and international tax provision calculations (ASC 740), respond to federal and state tax notices, assist with tax audits 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns
  • Assist with the quarter-end and year-end tax provision process (ASC 740) and review with external tax consultants; preparation of related supporting schedules and documentation
  • Research and document complex tax issues
  • Analyze and assist in implementing tax planning initiatives
  • Respond to federal and state tax notices
  • Assist with tax audits
  • Prepare UNICAP calculations
  • Review fixed asset additions and disposals each quarter
  • Maintain and progress deferred tax reconciliations
  • Assist with calculation of domestic estimated tax payments and cash tax forecast
  • Review royalty model and distribute invoices to international locations
  • Research withholding tax issues related to royalty, service, and interest payments
  • Track and monitor foreign tax returns and statutory account filings
  • Project manage R&D study
  • Prepare journal entries and board resolutions for cash repatriation

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA's)

 

Computer Skills

Must have demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products and be able to create & manipulate Excel documents. SAP, Sage FAS, OneSource, and Hyperion knowledge a plus.

 

Language Ability

Articulate and clear in the spoken and written word.

 

Math Ability

Perform college level mathematical calculations.

 

Physical Demands

Travel and move about in offices and plants. Demonstrate a professional image.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting and compliance;
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting required, CPA, MBA, or MST preferred;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate or public accounting environment including federal and state income tax experience with C Corporations required;
  • Candidate should have experience with corporate enterprise systems such as OneSource provision and SAP
