Parker + Lynch is seeking to fill a Cost Operations Analyst role with a global manufacturing client located in Greensboro, NC.  The ideal candidate will have general accounting or cost accounting experience in the manufacturing industry and be eager to continue to learn and expand his or her skills in the cost accounting field.  This is a high visibility role which offers the opportunity to interact with plant operations and provide support for costing and building products.     


Operations Cost Analyst job duties will include:

  • Maintain cost systems and working with plants and division IT to solve system issues
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of inventories, profit estimates, and other reports
  • Ad hoc special projects and studies relating to the costing area.
  • Assist Cost Manager and plans in preparation of annual business plan and cost sheet budgets for operations.
  • Source data to prepare PPV reporting, waste, and raw material cost variance reporting
  • Prepare & analyze manufacturing variances for all actual results, profit estimates, and updates.
  • Prepare & analyze capital expenditure requests
  • Allocate various items on overhead, labor, operating supplies, shipping supplies, etc .

    Qualifications desired:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Able to communicate to various levels of management and support areas
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, including inventory and/or cost accounting
