We have partnered with a multi-family and mixed use real estate organization who are in search of a Director of Asset Management.  With a strong development pipeline they are well positioned and commited to the communities they service.  This is a strategic role where you will be responsible for all asset management at the property level for a stabilized portfolio of affordable housing as well as Class A development properties. This position is a key role within the company that interacts with, and supports all divisions to include property level operations, construction, finance and legal.  Affordable housing experience is required, development experience is also highly desired. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Development and management of Annual budgets, business plans, marketing plans, reporting initiatives, capital expenditure/renovation forecasts, cash flow/asset valuation/ROI analyses & acquisition/investment diligence/underwriting
  • Property level strategies for leasing, operations, and capital improvements that will maximize property performance
  • Working closely with the acquisition and development functions to provide underwriting analysis, diligence and other support on potential new investments
  • Provide input on unit design, layout and property amenities
  • Implementing meaningful property and portfolio reporting for ownership and capital partners
  • Support refinancings, loan closings and other acquisition and dispostion tasks
  • Identifying and establishing industry best practices for the operations of the
  •   Qualifications:

  • Bachelors with concentration in business, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years’ experience directly managing a portfolio of multifamily assets with a focus in affordable housing
  • Experience managing an asset portfolio that includes affordable housing programs including federal housing programs and subsidies
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively across disciplines.
