Seeking a professional with Supermarket experience leading multple locations and management teams.  Hands on role; Vice President of Operations.  

Functions include: 

  • Administer budgets, train staff and monitor procedures to maximize efficiency and balance objectives with operational requirements. Inventory management, loss prevention and vendor negotiation.
  • Establish, implement and update policies keeping business agile and responsive to changing market conditions.
  • Introduce complete onboarding and training programs, established team sales targets and employee retention goals.
  • Set sales budgets for all prime costs, loss of goods and controllable items to improve cash flow.
  • Boost profit opportunities, reviewing cost, schedule and contract performance, along with variance and risk analysis to produce corrective actions.
  • Enhance operational performance by developing effective business development strategies, systems and procedures.
  • Set and administered annual operating budget, consistently maintaining controls and preventing overages.
  • Facilitate HR operations, which included strategic workforce planning, performance management, staffing and administration of benefits.
  • Generate daily operational and sales reports for corrective action or continuous improvements.
  • Requirements include: 

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.  An MBA is highly regarded.
  • 10+ years of experience within a Supermarket (will consider restaurant) managing multiple sites and multiple teams.  
  • Strong managment, multi-tasking and computer (MS Excel) skills are required.
