Individuals in this capacity came from a variety of industry backgrounds including construction, retail, and services. General Ledger and Accounting understanding are taught as part of responsibility.

 

Much of the roles responsibilities centers on the Property, Plant, and Equipment accounting and analysis associated with daily operations, reporting, and disclosure. The following highlights some of the on-going activities that this role is undertaking,

 

Duties:

Work with all leadership levels to resolve procurement, invoice, and asset reconciliation discrepancies. Research and communicate recommended actions to resolved suspended project transactions and facilitate the timely capital project closure and depreciation expense recognition.

 

  1. independent field visits within multiple environments. Plan, schedule, investigate, validate, and independently define assets in an active patient care, professional, clinical, and support environment.

 

Research and compile documentation to support the fair value of acquisitions. Perform site visits to document, tag, or confirm equipment existence and complete appropriate reconciliations of appraisals or related submittals. Prepare tangible and intangible allocation based on site visit and 3rd party appraisal valuation.

 

Reconcile 3rd party vendor asset definitions and retirement identification.

 

Resolve discrepancies by engaging vendor to provide corrected documentation. This includes CDW, Insight/Belmont, Aramark, and GE provided transactions.

 

Evaluate CIP expenditures for capitalization compliance and prepare JE’s to reclassify non-qualifying expenses. Communicate financial corrections and address inquiries with project managers.

 

Review lease PO for documentation, expiration, asset definition. Seek out new acq, tag, track, and engage user in completion of removal requests or lease term updates upon lease expiration. Research incorrect lease due dates required for lease obligation footnote schedule and obtain resolution from Purchasing. Compile commitment obligation footnote schedule support.

 

Reconcile PPE roll-forwards. Investigate variances and prepare resolutions for posting prior to fiscal close.

 

Engage and assist leadership in obtaining timely resolution of asset SER+ transactions.

 

Where appropriate, assist in community service potential donation assignments.

 

Work with leadership and PM’s to assist in review of potential proposals to ensure that costs are correctly defined and documented as capital or expense.
