Finance Manager – 85-105K

A Finance Manager job is open with a Parker+Lynch client in Rockville, Maryland. This company, a professional services startup in the software implementation business, is looking for a candidate with 5+ years of finance experience, preferably in a startup environment. In this role, you’ll be doing financial analysis of projects and engagements, forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc reports. They use the software Domo alongside QuickBooks, but as long as you’re proficient with Excel, you should have the technical skills they’re seeking.


Job Duties include:

  • Collaborate with our consulting team to determine metrics for success and work with the team on developing standardized utilization and profit metrics for the department.
  • Work with the accounting team on monthly close processes.
  • Provide continuous improvement to our operational processes, data integrity, and financial capabilities as we grow.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to analyze and improve upon the sales pipeline and targeting of potential and current customers.
  • Manage the preparation of financial statements and financial analysis, build forecasts for our revenue and expenses, develop and maintain our KPI's.



  • BS in Finance, Accounting or a related field from a traditional college (non-online)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a startup or fast-growing small business
  • Excel and financial modeling skills
  • MBA and/or CPA  preferred
  • Prior experience in a technology or software firm
