Financial Business Analyst

Are you an experienced Financial Business Analyst in Charlotte, NC looking for a new opportunity? Parker and Lynch is seeking a skilled candidate for a permanent position with an established client. This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with key stakeholders and departments across the organization in developing business processes.


  • Carry out budgeting and forecasting
  • Execute maintenance of and changes to budget schedules and supporting files
  • Analyze retail customer profitability
  • Serve as a contact to Inventory/Supply Chain, including maintenance of product costing and inventory analysis files, trends (fill and component level)
  • Analyze retailer discount/allowance (for purposes of evaluating accruals and reconciliations)
  • Collaborate with sales to evaluate geographic sales distribution, advertising, and future opportunity areas
  • Provide analytical support and ROI determination to support in defining new opportunities
  • Maintain and update reporting and analysis files (supporting docs to monthly financial statements)
  • Support monthly financial statement file updates
  • Support implementation of new inventory management system
  • Support various projects as assigned
  • Allocate department results (actual vs. budget) to corresponding Directors
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of Financial and Forecast Modeling Experience required, preferably in the Manufacturing industry
  • Ability to foresee issues in meeting deadlines and make the necessary adjustments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • QuickBooks or similar ERP system preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work closely with Operations and Sales on information gathering and Reporting
