Parker+Lynch is excited to be partnering with an Arizona-based, publicly traded utility company that is a major leader in its industry!  We’re conducting a direct hire search for a Financial Reporting Accountant that not only has their degree in accounting and public experience, but also one who is eager to grow within the organization.

Compensation is up to $80k plus 10% bonus

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish, maintain and audit fixed assets and depreciation
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidation financial statements
  • Assist in preparing SEC and public filings, as well as various reporting packages
  • Perform trend analysis and participate in external audit quarterly review initiatives
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and perform monthly account reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis  
  • Support the Controller daily with Ad Hoc analysis and other special projects
  • Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred
  • Big 4 or publicly traded experience is required
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; ERP software experience preferred
  • Experience auditing fixed assets and assisting with SEC filings
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and analytical skills
