Function:

The Junior Cost Accountant is a key resource in the monthly financial close.  This individual will be responsible for daily costing including: the development of accurate and timely financial information and analysis, cost approvals and reviews, preparation of weekly financial management reports, and general ledger account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create financial reports related to business unit operational performance
  • Inventory Forecasting, valuation, and accuracy
  • Record general ledger entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Monthly, Quarterly, Annual reporting as needed
  • Complete external audit requests
  • Assist team in inventory audits and physical inventory counts
  • Compile and distribute weekly and monthly operations finance reports
  • Support all plant close activities
  • Ad-hoc reporting as necessary
  • Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience is required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • SAP experience is a plus
