Responsibilities

Operational Controller with direct responsibility for a $300mm+ lease/loan portfolio.

Direct responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for a staff of 4 portfolio accountants in managing the portfolio positions of a $220M lease/loan assets including cash application and balancing, new originations, End of Term and repossessions
  • Monthly internal reporting of performance metrics
  • Own and be the Subject Matter Expert as to operation and interrelationship of the subledger
  • Managing relationship with 3rd party proprietary subledger software.
  • Responsible for monthly closing and reporting of the subledger and transfer of information to
  • Responsible for various projects aimed at improving processes and efficiency
  • Perform special projects and duties as requested, including ad-hoc analysis in support of senior management
  • Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  •  

    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration or equivalent from an accredited school
  • 3-7 years’ relevant experience in industry and/or accounting
  • Experience with loan/lease accounting software.
  • Ability to work with large and diverse data sets utilizing excel
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions and delivering results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Track record of working independently with limited required direction and guidance on simultaneous projects and teams
