The Payroll Consultant will focus on the design of payroll, time and attendance system including process improvements and problem resolution.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and provide support to Payroll Managers and other management in all areas of payroll processing and reporting
  • Identify potential updates and lead implementation of new systems and procedures to improve quality and efficiency
  • Develop materials and conduct training presentations to enhance the knowledge of payroll systems and practices
  • Guide payroll processing team to ensure streamlined workload and assist with field communication
  • Lead system conversions and upgrades including testing and validation
  • Prepare in depth ad hoc reports for senior management and regulatory agencies
  • Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient with payroll software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Computer Science
  • Five or more years of related experience
  • Experience with Kronos and SAP Payroll a plus
