Parker + Lynch is currently partnering with a construction company in the Phoenix area on a search for a Payroll specialist to join their organization. As the payroll specialist you will be responsible for processing the company's payroll on a bi-weekly basis, while assisting with additional accounting functions as the need arises. Our client is seeking candidates with a MINIMUM of 3 years hands on payroll processing experience and the ability to provide ad-hoc analysis as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

• Verify payroll, transmit and create funding documentation and execute electronic files for GL & 401k data uploads

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting for management. Include but not limited to: Payroll reports - 401k matching, payroll accrual, manpower hours, and payroll status

• Prepare monthly general ledger entries for payroll & accounting

• Enter report information into financial software

• Send vouchers & funding information to headquarters

• Year-end reporting of payroll earnings and deduction totals

• Prepares special reports and analyses, participates in projects

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of previous payroll experience

• Ability to perform Ad-Hoc Analysis as needed

• Bachelors or Associates degree in business or related field preferred
