Our cleint is seeking a Payroll Manager that is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations. We also value integrity, team spirit and strong organizational skills.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise daily administration of weekly and bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness of processing and distribution of pay of 3000 employees.
Supervise 2-3 payroll associates..
Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
Preparation of payroll reports, complying with all federal and state withholding requirements, direct deposit, 401(k), associate stock options and purchase plans, garnishments and credit union payments.
Establishes payroll work procedures and work schedules.
Interprets company policy and government regulations that affect payroll to ensure compliance of payroll policies and practices.
Assists internal and external auditors as well as other accounting departments with payroll related information and issues.
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
Familiarity with an ERP payroll software (WorkDay experience a huge plus) and MS Office (especially Excel)
