Can you see yourself as a Payroll Manager for a well-established company with the opportunity to work directly with management? We have an exciting job opportunity in Winston-Salem for a Payroll Manager. You will have a chance to learn from and work with the Controller and CFO. You will be responsible for managing a staff and processing payroll in multiple states.  To be considered for this position, you must have strong hands on experience with payroll processing and a Bachelor's degree.

As a Payroll Manager your responsibilities include:

  • Processing payroll for 500+ employees in multiple states
  • Have an understanding of accounting and payroll tax provisions
  • Supervising a small staff and overseeing the payroll processing
  • Resolve any complex tax issues and troubleshoot if necessary
  • Knowledge of union and non-union payroll within multiple entities
  • Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • CPP certification is preferred
  • 7 years of experience in payroll processing
  • Technically proficient with Excel and payroll processing systems
  • Have excellent communication skills, be goal oriented, and efficient
