Parker+Lynch has partnered with a mission-driven non-profit organization in Grand Rapids, MI as they intend to hire a Payroll Manager. The payroll manager will handle the payroll process for their 500+ person organization. Their company offers strong benefits and competitive compensation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day (bi-weekly) payroll process for 1000+ person organization across 50 states
Lead a payroll team with effective management skills
Work closely with HR and broader Finance, Tax and Legal teams
Ensure compliance with supplemental tax withholding requirements
Verify all payroll entries including deductions, earnings, and changes
Reconcile payroll data to resolve any discrepancies
Coordinate benefit changes
Prepare journal entries
Complete payroll account reconciliations
Ad-hoc tasks
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
5+ years of experience in payroll
Familiar with Oracle
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
