Parker + Lynch is currently working with one of our best clients in Dublin, OH to find a Payroll Specialist.  The organization is rapidly growning and has been adding to their team consistently over the past few years.  The role will be processing multiple payrolls for the company and has promotion opportunity as well.

 

Payroll Specialist Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to manage payroll process to include time and attendance, salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations and employee deductions among other payroll responsibilities 
  • Process termination data in payroll system(s), as provided, including but not limited to calculation of final paycheck and compliance with state laws 
  • Data entry or import of time detail into system. Review and audit all information for completeness and accuracy. 
  • Calculate and process all payroll related changes including but not limited to transfers, terminations, promotions, and changes in compensation including salary/rate and retroactive pay increases, and other pre- or post-tax deductions. 
  • Process wage attachments, calculating per payroll deduction as necessary, following all state and federal guidelines. 
  • Issue corrected manual checks and corresponding void posting to ensure accurate year-to-date earnings for payroll. Create stop payments/ACH deletions or reversals when necessary.
  • Complete and balance pay period, monthly and quarterly reports as needed to ensure information stays consistently in balance. 
  • Respond to and resolve all payroll inquiries and make resultant changes.

  • Payroll Specialist Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • CPP or other certifications highly preferred
  • Experience working in large volume environments
  • Fantastic communication skills and customer service mindset
  • Experience with various payroll systems
