We’ve partnered with great local company to find a Payroll Specialist. The position will over great flexibility, good benefits and a great work environment!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processes payroll weekly
  • Reviews time cards, time off requests, and payroll information
  • Performs data entry into payroll processing system
  • Calculates wages, benefits, tax deductions, etc
  • Prepares and processes paychecks and year end tax forms
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation
  • Processes garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll
  • Responds to payroll-related inquiries and resolves concerns
  • Performs payroll reconciliations and reports for management review
  • Assists with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
  • Assists with internal and external audits
  • Prepares financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes
  • Manages state tax accounts, including the addition of new states for processing
  • Communicates with all levels of employees regarding payroll issues
  • Qualifications

  • 4+  years payroll experience
  • B.S. in accounting preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll practices including tax and wage regulations for multi-state processing
  • Knowledge of garnishments processing
  • Skilled in MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Appropriate communications and service skills to interact with all levels in the organization
