Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Parker and Lynch, a national recruiting expert is looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst in the Houston area. This individual will have a solid conceptual understanding of public financial planning and reporting, basic US GAAP knowledge and a strong desire to take their skillset to the next level!

Job requirements

  • CPA
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of three (3) years business and accounting experience including but not limited to; 3 years public accounting auditing or 3 years public company financial recording
  • Strong communication, accounting, writing and Microsoft Suite familiarity
  • Knowledge and understanding of internal controls, general accounting ( G/L, A/P, A/R, etc.) operational accounting
  • Internal Responsibilities

  • Accurately construct and deliver monthly reporting per US GAAP
  • Maintain adjusted EBITDA and FCF calculations for inclusion in monthly reporting package.
  • Compile and review monthly and quarterly variance analysis to diagnose and rectify errors in financial statements.
  • Review complex accounting entries made by accounting group to ensure compliance within authoritative accounting guidelines.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of accounting and reporting procedures in to ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting
  • Big Four Experience
  • Energy or Oil and Gas Industry experience
