This is our Ideal Hiring Profile to be an Executive Recruiter with Parker+Lynch:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 2-6+ years Accounting Experience - Any experience in public accounting is a huge plus!
  • Winning Personality – As recruiters we talk with people all day long!  If you are an accountant who longs to be more extroverted, we are looking for you!!
  • Money Motivated -  Let the truth be told, recruiting is a sales job and a good portion of your earning potential is based on commission.  With our best in class training program you can reasonably expect to match your current income.  And your second year will be even better!
  • Impeccable Ethics – We always do right by our candidates, clients and colleagues.  High integrity is essential to succeeding in this profession for the long term.
  • High Energy – It takes stamina to forge new relationships with new people every day.   If you are bursting out of your cubical from crunching numbers all day that is a good sign you’re ready for this career change.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit – We will give you all the tools you need to be successful as a recruiter but exactly how you stitch yourself together is largely up to you.  This will likely be the biggest shift for you coming from Accounting to Recruiting.  Accounting is a very linear job, whereas Recruiting is completely dynamic.   As you learn your new job you will have the benefit of scripts, talking points and checklists but each person and each situation is different.  You’ll largely need to think on your feet.  If an entrepreneurial spirit is in your core, you will love this about your new job!!
