Manager, Sales Planning and Analysis

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and entrepreneurial minded candidate. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of several regional sales directors and the tracking of sales planning documents, sales initiatives, new product
launches and seasonal programs.
There is significant interaction with CEO, VP Sales, Regional Sales Directors,
Marketing, Operations, and Finance as necessary to budget, track, and
evaluate trade spending, distribution and sales volume.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Annual budgeting and planning processes including both initial plan development and ongoing updates and revisions
  • Analyzes trade spending by brand, promotion and customer in order
    to determine optimal usage and mix and recommends appropriate
    strategies or corrective action.
  • Tracks new items initiatives including approval status, cost and timing and projects impact for Finance, Operations and Marketing.
  • Provides sales forecast input to Finance and Operations.
  • Tracks other key regional and broker initiatives at the direction of CEO/VP Sales.
  • Coordinates presentations for Quarterly Sales/Marketing meetings and for Board Meetings.
  • Assists VP Sales and Regional Sales Directors in the field as requested. This could include trade shows, broker meetings, product
    demos or customer calls.



  • A minimum of five (5) years of sales or sales-related analytical experience in a consumer products environment.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including creation and manipulation of pivot tables macros and spreadsheets is required.
  • Comfort with interacting and developing experience with proprietary information systems.
