Senior Property Accountant

Parker + Lynch is currently recruiting for a Senior Property Accountant located in Houston TX.  Our client is a real estate services / construction development company and is looking to fill this position as soon as possible. The Senior Property Accountant candidate will need to have 4 years minimum Property Accounting experience as well as a Bachelor’s in Accounting. The position will be responsible for the General Accounting / Financial Reporting, forecasting / budgeting, audit and inter – departmental support. Some job duties include:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages
  • Accrual and cash journal entries
  • Reviewing operating statements and variance reports
  • Prepare monthly income statement variance analysis.
  • Perform CAM reconciliations
  • Interact and communicate with property managers
  •  

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of four years of relevant and progressive professional experience in Accounting
  • Recent retail and/or multifamily accounting experience
  •  

    Skills:

  • Must be proficient in MS Excel
  • Applicable experience in Yardi or MRI
  •  

    Employment Type: Full Time
