We are assisting our manufacturing client to add a qualified Senior Accountant to their team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for all relevant revenue accounting, business internal controls, and continuous process improvements with a primary focus on waste elimination and creating efficiencies. This position will also assist in the monthly financial close process including preparation and review of journal entries, monthly audits, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete monthly and annual assigned financial close tasks, including preparation, review, posting, and documentation of journal entries and submission of financial information.
  • Accountable for the appropriate use of Balance Sheet accounts in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Complete monthly assigned account reconciliations (includes preparing and reviewing) by providing validating proper analysis and supporting documentation
  • Assist, support, and provide documentation for internal/external audit processes
  • Participate in the execution and improvement of accounting processes
  • Provides customer services such as investigating variances, providing detail of departmental charges and advising of financial procedures
  • Maintain the fixed asset and depreciation schedules for both GAAP and tax books
  • Maintaining financial systems with high integrity, ethical conduct and compliance with Company policies
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting; CPA desirable
  • Minimum of two to four years of professional accounting experience. Experience with general ledger account and sub-ledger reconciliations required.
  • A proven track record in leading/managing projects, meeting deadlines, and working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficiency with accounting software; Great Plains experience is preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office application with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (no exceptions)
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement is required
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast paced environment
