Parker + Lynch is searching for a Sr. Accountant for a Billion-dollar automotive supplier to work out of their North American headquarters located in Plymouth, MI. This newly created position will focus on periodic close and reporting activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Complete accurate and timely reporting of US financial activities.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, monthly and annually
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations
  • Review various other account reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries and review other entries for accuracy
  • Support all internal and external audit related activities
  • Assure all accounting related activities follow global accounting standards
  • Mentor and develop junior staff accountants
  • Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 3-7 years of related experience
  • Certified Public Accountant or Charter Accountant preferred
  • Prior experience working with SAP
  • Must be self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, documentation and research capabilities (including technical research).
  • Advanced skill level in Excel or Access along with financial reporting systems is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills required – verbal and written.
