SUMMARY

This is a well-rounded role which will include management of day-to-day accounting  functions and ad hoc reporting.  Must have solid knowledge and experience in general ledger, month- and year-end close, financial statement preparation and analysis, audit and internal controls.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Functional management of the day-to-day processes including AP, Revenue and month- & year-end closings.
  • Reconcile accounts for monthly and annual closing, including analysis thereof.
  • Prepare monthly financials statements, cash flow forecasting and other analyses.
  • Collaborate with and support FP&A to provide accurate, timely and relevant information for management reporting and analysis.
  • Focus on cost control, compliance and working with budget owners to ensure visibility and accountability.
  • Primary contact for banking, tax and third-party information requests and reporting.
  • Support Controller with external audit.
  • Support companies’ informational and process improvement needs with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and relevance, while minimizing Operational impact.
  • Improve and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support ERP including the maintenance of the chart of accounts, improvement and maintenance of processes and workflows as appropriate.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; a CPA is strongly desired.
  • Five or more years prior experience in full cycle accounting, including ownership of the general ledger.
  • Previous experience in high-growth companies with preference given to multi-unit organizations.
  • Comfortable with templated and ad hoc financial reporting, especially the statement of cash flows.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Advanced Excel.
  • Possess both a working knowledge of and comfort with GAAP inclusive of interpretations and application.
  • Experience with business taxes, includes sales/use and B&O.
  • Familiarity with multiple tax structures (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp) with multi-state reporting preferred.
  • Familiarity with travel management software (Concur preferred) and HRIS or payroll systems (Paylocity preferred).
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
