Portland Retail company is hiring a Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

Your job will be at a corporate level, working directly with Company leadership
Review Journal Entries, Accruals, Revenue, and Transactional Accounting for correct application to both the Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
Participate in implementation of new accounting policy and procedure, including any new technical pronouncements. Help to roll out new Lease Accounting process.
Be a key player in month end close, budget variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Collaborate with the business in terms of improving the health, solvency, and overall success of the company.
Supervise clerical accounting, accounts payable, and some procurement functions.
Help with any work related to external audits, compliance, or controls.
Your background should include:
BS in Accounting or similar field
2-6 or so years of experience in Accounting, preference to those with multi-location GLs
Preference to public accounting experience or CPA
Strong will to learn and grow
Excellent communication and the confidence to work independently in many tasks
Good base in technology tools including ERP systems and MS Excel
This position can exist remotely or in-office for the duration of Covid, but will return to a Portland site (at least 50-60%) at some point in the future. We are not considering candidates who would be permanently remote from locations outside the Portland Metro market.
