Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger postings and accuracy of the company’s general ledger and trial balances
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Ensure company is in compliance with the designated internal control framework in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 
  • Review and implement analytical procedures for all financial statement accounts to identify significant variances and fluctuations, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly reporting package and prepare monthly work papers for the monthly/quarterly/annual close
  • Answer all accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Generate, review, analyze and communicate financial data that reflects actual performance against approved budgets


  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college within the fields of Accounting or Finance 
  • Excellent knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • 3+ years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably within public accounting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and within a team
  • Possess a strong accounting and technical background 
  • Proficiency with financial system applications and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (pivot tables and V Look-ups) and Word 
  • Good communication and problem solving with the ability to communicate to upper management
