Parker + Lynch  is partnering with a client in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Sacramento, CA. The Senior Accountant will see rapid career growth and be responsible for leading month-end close, audit preparation, tax filings, preparing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts including related journal entries, and supervising and cross training accounts payable and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting, a CPA, and Financial Analysis experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key site contact on questions related to Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivable.
  • Monitor and Review Internal controls in the Order-to-Cash and Procurement-to-Pay processes.
  • Weekly inventory reporting and month-end reconciliations.
  • Work with Corporate Accounting to properly capitalize fixed assets
  • Support corporate reporting requirements for monthly financial reporting package, quarterly bank covenants, and quarterly Board of Director’s presentations
  • Partner with operations and corporate finance team to provide variance analysis commentary over business results and drive customer profitability decisions.
  • Partner with corporate finance team to develop annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Contribute to company-wide finance team training initiative focused on developing technical skills and proficiencies across the team, including excel, Power BI, VBA, SQL, and other capabilities.
  • Prepares ad hoc financial and business-related analysis and research as necessary, from and for an operations and business perspective.
  • Work closely with operations and corporate finance team to identify, develop, and implement strategic profit improvement initiatives.

    Desired Skill and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP
  • Ability to gather, analyze and interpret facts, raise questions and exercise sound judgment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Power BI knowledge (DAX, M, SQL, etc) a plus
  • Ability to exercise a high-level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information
  • Strong leadership skills (planning, communication, relationship building, influencing)
  • ERP system experience (Great Plains and Amtech a plus)

    ?Education

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent preferred
  • CPA license required
  • Big 4 or Regional Audit in-charge experience a plus
  • 1+ years of FP&A experience
