Parker and Lynch is currently seeking a Senior Accountant with 3 or more years of experience for a full-time job at an established client in Roll Hill, SC. This is a great permanent role that offers the opportunity to join a growing team, as well as the ability to collaborate with various levels of management across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and monthly close activities, helping to ensure the financial statements and resulting supporting schedules are captured timely, completely, and accurately in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Prepare journal entries of varying complexity, account reconciliations, and accounting schedules such as rollforwards, fluctuations and other similar analyses.
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by gathering and analyzing account information.
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, translating, consolidating, and entering transactions.
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by confirming, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving inconsistencies.
  • Focus on bank reconciliations (including foreign), intercompany reconciliations, and/or payroll entries.
  • Support business partners through ad hoc information requests and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain a complete and effective internal control environment.
  • Support more complex accounting projects and initiatives alongside other members of the accounting, finance, and/or business operations teams.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
  • At least 3 years of related experience
  • Experience using Oracle Financial Systems (R12) preferred
  • Experience using Hyperion Financial Management preferred
  • Prior experience in bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations preferred
  • Must have Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS)
  • Strong communication, analytical and data management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to adjust and prioritize multiple workloads to meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate and building relationships with various stakeholders across the organization
  • Must be able to adapt in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
